Broadband provider expands across North through acquisition

THE parent company of I Love Broadband has bought a Lancashire-based competitor to create an organisation that offers coast-to-coast wireless coverage across the North of England.
Leeds-based internet service provider LN Communications has acquired Boundless Communications for an undisclosed sum.
The enlarged £2m-turnover firm will be known as Boundless Networks and employs 30 people in Leeds and Chorley.
Boundless Networks’ chairman David Hood said: “The technical expertise and advanced cloud services developed by Boundless, together with LN’s community-led focus will ensure Boundless Networks can become the de facto high speed choice for customers across the whole of the North of England and beyond.”
The combined organisation has wireless coverage of over 3,500 square miles and operates a private national fibre network from its data centre in Manchester.
“We believe Boundless Networks is the fastest and largest Fibre Wireless Internet Service Provider in rural and remote areas of the UK,” added Mr Hood.
