Chocolate manufacturer makes sweet deal

MANUFACTURER Whitakers Chocolates has invested £40,000 in manufacturing equipment to cope with expansion.

The investment from the Skipton company covers chocolate spraying and sprinkling equipment.

The North Yorkshire manufacturer supplies the retail and catering markets and this investment will allow it to expand its product ranges.

William Whitaker, managing director of Whitakers Chocolates, said: “One of the key ingredients in our on-going success is always ensuring we’re prepared for the next step in the company’s development.

“This has seen us significantly expand our factory and warehouse space in recent years, and spend a considerable amount on new machinery and redeveloping our products.”

“Thanks to the investments we have made, the new branded Whitakers Chocolates retail and catering range is due to launch later this month and we hope to introduce more exciting variations of the famous mint crisp wafer in 2017.”
