Tanker specialist expands fuel operations with £1.2m investment

BULK tanker specialist Clugston Distribution has invested £1.2m in expanding its delivery fleet.

The company has added three mini mid-lift tractors for servicing the petroleum sector and is replacing five tractors used in its food and cement fleet.

In addition to its cab orders, which will be delivered by Renault, the firm said it has set aside further cash for three 42,000 litre fuel tankers from Cisternas Cobo. Three replacement bulk flour tipping silo tankers are also on order from Feldbinder.

Clugston Distribution said it will have 18 fuel tanker and tractor vehicles working through the UK by June.

David Heath, head of logistics at Clugston Distribution said: “We are really looking forward to 2016. The renewed investment will further consolidate our position in three strategic markets; food, fuel and industrial powder logistics.”
