LAW firm Andrew Jackson has appointed two partners to its growing property practice.
Steven Berry joins as partner from York firm Guest Walker & Co, while joining the partnership is Andrea Hewitt, who has played a key role in the property department since joining the firm three years ago.

PAUL MACKIE has retired as chairman of Rex Procter & Partners after more than 25 years of service to the firm.
Mr Mackie has led the strategic development and growth of the business, alongside Andrew Cooper and the other executive directors.
The firm said he has been a great supporter of Bradford for over 25 years and has had a positive impact on the local community, holding many influential roles within Bradford’s business networks.
He currently sits on the board of the West and North Yorkshire Chamber representing business interests in Leeds, Bradford and York, and was, until recently, president of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce.
Andrew Cooper, managing director, said: “The time is now right for the next stage of succession planning to begin. The business is in a strong position and, with the next five-year plan emerging, the ambition to be a national organisation operating from well-founded, regional offices, remains on track.”

Property consultancy Carter Jonas and Van Gool Elburg, an independent commercial property agency in the Netherlands, have formed a strategic alliance as both firms aim to expand their cross-border capabilities.
Van Gool Elburg advises public and private sector clients including Credit Suisse Asset Management Immobilien, Gazprom and KPMG. Carter Jonas has a long standing expertise in commercial property with a number of offices across the UK.
Its team work with institutional, national and international clients including, U+i Group (formerly Development Securities), ARM Holdings and Goodman.
