500 jobs promised at Harrogate business park development

PLANS for a new business park have been put to authorities which promises 500 jobs for the Harrogate area.

Last week, outline planning permission was sought from Harrogate Borough Council by ID Planning on behalf of Beckwith Knowle Developments, the company spearheading the development.

ID Planning said that 100 positions in construction would be created during the development at Beckwith Head Road.

1.2 million sq ft of office space are part of the plans, as well as light industrial and storage and distribution units.

The council had previously said the area was a prime employment site, which could be an extension of Cardale Park Business Park, and will be part of the new Local Plan for the area.

Planning is also being sought for a mental health inpatient unit on the site road.
