CLARION has welcomed Jaella Henry-Robinson as an associate in its dispute resolution and litigation team.
Ms Henry-Robinson joins from Eversheds in Dublin. She has experience of working on a range of matters including general commercial contract and business to business disputes, banking and financial services disputes and investigations, and commercial landlord and tenant disputes.

A YORKSHIRE lawyer at DLA Piper has advised Yü Energy, a Nottingham-based independent supplier of gas and electricity, on its admission to the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and its fundraising of £7.5m.
Yü Energy is an independent supplier of gas and electricity focused on servicing small and medium enterprises throughout the UK. Over the past few years it has experienced strong growth and the funds being raised will enable the company to accelerate their growth strategy and further expand its operations across the UK.
Sheffield-based DLA Piper corporate partner Rob McKie, who led on the deal, said: “This fundraising was significantly over-subscribed, which speaks volumes about the quality of the business and demonstrates the real value professional advisers can bring to a deal. The result is testament to how great a business Yü Energy is and to the people who run it so enthusiastically.”

ASHMOUNT COUNTRY HOUSE has recently appointed Yorkshire accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott to provide business advisory services.
Garbutt + Elliott has been appointed on an ongoing basis by the Haworth-based business and will take on the management accounts, cash flow forecasting and solutions for year end-accounts.

A TRAINEE lawyer at DLA Piper’s Sheffield office has become the latest in a succession of young lawyers at the firm to be presented with the Sidney Herbert-Clay prize at the annual Sheffield Law Society Award Dinner.
Sam Millington was awarded the accolade after achieving the highest marks on the Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield and then moving on to practice within the Sheffield City Region.
Office managing partner Petra Billing said: “This is the eleventh year that a DLA Piper trainee has received this award and reflects our commitment to nurturing and retaining the best legal talent that the city has to offer. The university produces some exceptional young lawyers and by investing in them, we are investing into the city’s legal offering as well as the future of our firm in the region.”
Mr Millington is currently in the litigation and regulatory team of the Sheffield office as part of his two-year training contract.

WALKER MORRIS regulatory lawyer Hayley Lawrence has qualified to represent Great Britain in her age group at the ETU Long Distance Duathlon Championships, which takes place next month in Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Championships is one of the biggest events on the duathlon athletic calendar. The long distance duathlon for which Ms Lawrence has qualified includes a 10km run, a 60km bike ride followed by another 10km run.
She is one of four athletes to have qualified to represent Great Britain in the female 30-34 age group category.

DERBY-BASED Evolution Time Critical (ETC) has been sold to North American rival Metro Supply Chain Group.
Metro Supply Chain Group, a Canadian-owned 3PL provider, acquired the automotive and industrial services emergency logistics specialist, Evolution Time Critical, for an undisclosed sum. The deal gives Metro an opportunity to increase its market share with Evolution Time Critical’s globalised automotive supply chain.
Evolution Time Critical provides time sensitive global logistics solutions to automotive and industrial services industries to protect supply chain integrity.
The corporate finance team at accountancy and business advisory firm BDO in Leeds advised ETC.
Jason Whitworth, BDO M&A partner said: “This is an excellent opportunity for ETC to join an ambitious and growing global logistics group, where ETC’s skills and sector knowledge will be supported by Metro’s global investment strategy.”
