Property investors snap up Leeds multi-let offices

NEWLY-LAUNCHED firm Illuminating Investments has acquired a multi-let office building in Leeds.

Carter Jonas bought the site on behalf of the investment firm, which was founded in October 2015.

Alexandra House in Chapel Allerton tenants, including Barclay Jones, Mencap and the Rush Group.

Illuminating Investments’ John McDonnell founded Wakefield-based Harvard Engineering, with brother Michael also moving from the business, where he was a director.

David Aspland, Carter Jonas partner and head of commercial in Leeds said: “The fact that Alexandra House was already occupied by existing tenants, generating short term income, made it an attractive opportunity. Alexandra House is prominently positioned within the heart of cosmopolitan Chapel Allerton with easy access to Leeds city centre and the A61 making it the perfect base for companies doing business in the region, or potentially a redevelopment opportunity into high quality residential apartments.”

Michael McDonnel of Illuminating Investments said: “Alexandra House was an ideal purchase for us because it offers a solid income with great development opportunity. We are very much in the market, looking for similar opportunities.”

Illuminating Investments’ first venture was Photon Park in Wakefield.
