Are you tough enough to handle the Leeds 10k Clarion Corporate Challenge?

IT’S a special year for the Leeds 10K Clarion Corporate Challenge , as it celebrates its 10th anniversary putting the city’s business community to the test.

Held on Sunday 10 July 2016, the Clarion Corporate Challenge is now inviting teams to get their running gear on and walk and/or run 10km with their colleagues.

Last year 850 business people participated in the challenge and entry is open to teams of five or more.

The run, which has been sponsored by Clarion since it was first held, has become a staple of the Asda Foundation 10k, from Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All.

Participants such as the Leo Group, an environmental consultancy, consider the Leeds 10k one of the most important events in their calendar, having been involved for the past five years.

They said: “We hope to raise even more money for good causes this year, and perhaps we will also be setting some personal bests on the day. Leo Group are looking forward to taking part in the 10k Corporate Challenge not only for health and fitness purposes, but for team building for colleagues and most importantly to raise money and awareness for charitable causes.”

Another regular at the Clarion Corporate Challenge are Kings Chambers, who said it is a “must do” for businesses in Yorkshire.

They said: “The Jane Tomlinson appeal holds a special place for many, and as a proud member of the Leeds business community, Kings Chambers welcomes the opportunity to try at least make it over the finish line.

The team from Handelsbanken said: “Handelsbanken has signed up a team from across our branches in Yorkshire, to run the Leeds 10K Clarion Corporate Challenge. It is a great way to get to know other employees in the region outside of the work environment, keep fit and healthy, and have a bit of fun too! And for those of us who run regularly, it provides that competitive element we all enjoy – a chance to gain our personal bests!”

Entry, including all of the above benefits, is £275.00 for a team of 5. Additional team members can be added for £55 per person.
