5 things to do in Yorkshire this weekend

1. Leeds Indie Food Festival
This year’s Leeds Indie Food Festival has already started off with a bang. More than 5,000 attendees have been involved in events across the city at different venues with their Festival Passport since Monday.
The City of Cake Exhibition has already made national headlines and the second week will see Norre, a pop-up inspired by Northern Europe at The Brunswick, plus the start of Leeds Indie Food’s Film Fringe, with challenging foodie documentaries including GMO OMG and Mondovino.
This weekend, delve into the Victorian dinner table and have a taste of what Britain was eating 100 years ago at Leeds Central Library, North Bar will be handing over their taps to the London Beer Festival, or visit the Women | Art | Food exhibition at Munro House.
The Made in Leeds Pizza Takeover aims to please, with The Reliance, Bundobust, Grub and Grog Shop, The Chilli Shop and The Nut Shop involved in festivities, or visit the Koko Afternoon Tea Party in Chapel Allerton on Sunday.

2. Whitby Seafoods beach classic Volleyball England
Both will be running an under 18 beach volleyball tournament in conjunction with Whitby Seafoods and North Riding Eagles Volleyball Club. Special guests this year are Team GB’s Chris Gregory & Jake Sheaf.

3. Magic of dance ballet

4. Puffin and gannet cruise
From April onwards the cliffs of Bempton and Flamborough become packed to the rafters with 250,000 seabirds setting up home for the summer. Take a three hour Puffin and Gannet cruise and spot the birds for yourself!
