£3.3m investment by communication services group

A DIVISION of communications business Adare has announced a £3.3m investment in machinery just weeks after an acquisition by its parent company to create a £230m-turnover business.

Adare SEC has signed a deal with Ricoh, which will result in a series of major upgrades to printing equipment at its headquarters.

The business also has a site in Redditch. It provides “secure and essential communication” services to companies, in print and electronically.

Some of its new machinery will improve the business’s green credentials by using half the power and producing around one fifth of the heat of the existing line, said the business.

Barry Crich, Adare SEC’s managing director, said: “We’ve won a number of major contracts over the last couple of months and significantly grown our presence in our core sectors.

“This deal forms part of an ongoing investment programme into the business as we look to build upon our market-leading position, increase our capacity and strengthen our relationships with customers.

“Inkjet has come of age in recent years, and our customers are demanding higher quality in this medium, this makes the Ricoh Pro VC60000 the right machine for us at this time. It is the best on the market; its efficiency, print head life and ink performance allows us to provide customers with an even higher quality and cost effective service.”
