Appointments: Property consultancy promotes; Car auction and asset management specialist appoints director; and more

CARTER JONAS, the property consultancy, has promoted five members of staff across its Yorkshire office network in Harrogate, York and Leeds.

Louise Hirst has been promoted from associate partner to partner. Based at the York office, she joined Carter Jonas in 2003 and advises on all aspects of residential agency in both the city and surrounding villages.

Anne Haggas, new homes manager for the North, has been promoted to associate.

Meanwhile, the Leeds office has seen three promotions. Stephen Courcier, senior planner, moves up to associate, as does senior surveyor Chris Hartnell.

Daniel Sherwood has been promoted from commercial surveyor to associate. He joined Carter Jonas in 2013, working on development appraisals for both residential and commercial schemes, development land agency and commercial property valuation.

Scott Cooper G3 GroupLEEDS-based G3 Group UK has appointed a director to diversify its offering to the motor and asset markets.

Scott Cooper joins the firm with a wealth of experience in sales across a number of asset and debt management companies, including Ascent Performance Group and P&A Receivables.

Having started his career as a sales executive at P&A, he progressed through the management levels up to board director, with key responsibilities across operations and business development.
 
His role as director of the G3 Group will see him in charge of securing new opportunities across the remarketing, finance and asset management divisions of the group, strategically positioning the company to maintain its expansion.

He said: “I worked with G3 many years ago and have kept a keen eye on the company ever since. I’ve been really impressed to see how dynamic the business is – especially as it’s an independent player in a hugely competitive market.

“But that’s really exciting to me. I’m looking forward to joining G3 as it expands – my role will encompass working across the different parts of the business, with the senior management team, to help fuel the company’s ambitious growth plans.’’

Established in 2009 as an online auction specialist, the brand introduced its first physical auction in February of this year, closely followed by a second evening sale in April. The group also provides debt and asset management, pool fleet management and bespoke software solutions to companies within the motor industry.

MacCommsA GROWING West Yorkshire-based public relations firm has appointed its first full time employee and a student summer placement.

MacComms, based in Huddersfield and Leeds, has employed Grace Morton who joins as account executive to manage the company’s growing client base.

Ms Morton joins student intern, Jahnae Gumbs who is also undertaking a full-time summer placement at MacComms, following her part-time work experience in the firm since January.

MacComms, established by Ellie MacDonald in April last year, has made the appointments to support the growth of the business and its position as the wedding PR specialists.

Ms MacDonald says: “Both Grace and Jahnae share MacComms’ ambition for growth and I am excited to have them supporting the company’s progress further.”

MacComms is based at the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre, Huddersfield with a base in Leeds via business accelerator programme, Entrepreneurial Spark.
