A spot of afternoon tea at The Mansion as historic venues tie the knot with Dine

YORKSHIRE event planner Dine now has three historic venues on the menu, and to sweeten the deal has launched a new afternoon tea menu at its homebase at The Mansion in Roundhay.

The Leeds-based company – who provide bespoke hospitality, event and venue management to clients and partner venues – has agreed exclusive partnerships with Yorkshire countryside locations Bolton Abbey, Ripley Castle and Dalton Hall to offer celebrations and corporate events in luxury marquees.

Founder of Dine Daniel Gill said: “The popularity of marquee weddings continues to grow, as couples look to add a personal touch to their big day.

“For this reason, we’re delighted to add this latest raft of unique venues to our roster of stylish wedding venues that are that little bit different.”

Dine also celebrated National Cream Tea Day last month with launch of Afternoon Tea with a twist.

A “quintessentially British ritual”, Dine’s new Afternoon tea menu will be served in The Garden Room café located in its flagship venue, The Mansion in Roundhay Park.

Challenging preconceptions around afternoon teas, Dine has created a meatier option in the form of a savoury afternoon tea, available on the Dine Collection menu for corporate events and weddings.

Presented in the traditional style and replicating in appearance a truly British cream tea, each bite is a “savoury sensory surprise.”

Guests can enjoy a beef ‘sandwich’ in fondant potato, cheese scone with oxtail, horseradish clotted cream and red onion jam, soufflé of Yorkshire Blue, peas and spinach, beetroot macaroon, white truffle cream, shin of beef brownie with roasted chestnuts alongside beef tea with gold leaf served from a handmade crystal glass teapot, red wine jellies and rich beef and port jus poured to finish.

And even the youngest members of the family can enjoy a mid-afternoon treat over the summer holidays with The Garden Room’s Tea for Tots.

Designed especially to appeal to youngster’s tastes, the tea includes a playful twist on the traditional spread with a colourful ‘cocktail’ of three tiers of jelly and tongue-tastic popping candy, alongside a time-honoured selection of fresh finger sandwiches, homemade scones with cream and jam and cakes.

Finally for those looking for something a little more traditional, Dine’s tea with a view is served in The Mansion’s Garden Room restaurant against the backdrop of Roundhay Park’s magnificent rolling landscape. The selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, desserts and scones are presented on a colourful platter which looks almost too good to eat.

Dine is one of the leading event organisers in the North of England, offering an award winning outside catering service at a host of venues across the UK. Dine caters for more than a 100 corporate events – from dinners and product launches to conferences – and 200 weddings a year including marquee weddings and weddings at home as well as providing exclusive private dining.
