Lawyers race to victory as fastest team in Corporate Challenge

A TEAM from law firm Chadwick Lawrence raced to victory as the fastest firm in Leeds following the Clarion Leeds 10k Corporate Challenge.

The team from the law firm’s Pudsey office carried off the Corporate Challenge trophy – the business communities’ feature in the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k.

Backed by TheBusinessdesk.com, it is also part of the successful Asda Foundation 10K series which includes runs in Lincoln, Nottingham, Burnley, Leeds, York, Bury and Sheffield.

Attracting teams from more than 60 companies, the race proved triumphant in its 10th year.

Calculating the first three team members to cross the finish line, the winners were:

1. Chadwick Lawrence, (team pictured below) total time of 1:54:13 – an average time of 38:04

2. KPMG recorded an average time of 39:49 to finish

3. Sagars A team was third with an average of 40:31.

Roger Hutton, joint managing partner at Clarion, which has sponsored the challenge since 2007, said: “The 10th Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge was a memorable occasion.Chadwick Lawrence winners Clarion 10k

“There is always such an amazing atmosphere at the Leeds 10K and the many Yorkshire organisations that enter the corporate challenge certainly add to the occasion.

“It was fantastic to see so many teams turn out to support the challenge, raising money for some great causes and having a great time doing it. Congratulations to everyone that took part.”

The Leeds 10K forms of the lasting legacy of the late Jane Tomlinson, who raised nearly £2m by completing a series of gruelling endurance events despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer.
