5 things to do in Yorkshire this weekend

1. Leeds International Beer Festival
Date: Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th September
Location: Town Hall, Leeds

The fifth annual Leeds beer festival will be returning to central Leeds for a four-day celebration of live music, street food and of course, beer.

Set in the heart of Leeds, the festival celebrates all things beer related and will be offering over 100 local and international beers & ciders.

2. Cutlers’ Hall open day
Date: Saturday 10th September
Location: Cutlers Hall, Sheffield

Sheffield’s famous Cutlers’ Hall will be opening its stainless steel doors to the public this weekend as part of the UK Heritage weekend. This weekend will mark the fifth annual open day for the Grade II listed building and will see hundreds of people receive free guided tours through the magnificent halls.

For those who would prefer to explore without a guide, each room will have an information board charting its history and function.

3. Motorbike show
Date: Sunday 11th September
Location: Hull & East Riding Animal centre, Hull

Every year the RSPCA hold their annual Motorbike show to raise funds for the animal centre. Either bring along a bike or just come see what’s on offer!  As well as various bikes, expect an array of stalls, games and refreshments.

4. Wine Tour & Tasting
Date: Saturday 10th September
Location: Yorkshire Heart Vineyard & Brewery, York

Drink wine with the experts in the heart of Yorkshire this weekend. With ten acres of beautiful scenery, Yorkshire heart vineyard and brewery is the ideal setting for a guided tour and wine tasting session.

5. Starlight Walk
Date: Saturday 10th September
Location: South Bay, Scarborough

Dig out your glow sticks, don your neon leg warmers and pull on a pink tutu for Saint Catherine’s Hospice Neon Starlight walk. Scarborough’s North and South Bays will be aglow as walkers dazzle around the 6.5 mile sponsored walk starting at 10pm and ending around midnight.
