1. Sheffield walking festival
Date: Saturday 10th – Sunday 18th September

Over nine days, the Sheffield Walking Festival will present a range of enjoyable walks, catering for all abilities.
New visitors are invited to discover how and why Sheffield forged it’s name, The Outdoor City, while those who think they know the city will have the opportunity to unlock parts they never knew existed.
2. Festival of the Mind
Date: Thursday 15th – Sunday 25th September
Location: Various venues, Sheffield
The 11-day festival is a collaboration between the city and the University of Sheffield, sharing the latest research in inspiring and creative ways.
The third Festival of the Mind will showcase projects co-produced by The Uni of Sheffield’s research staff and Sheffield’s cultural and creative industries.
3. Movies meets the musicals
Date: Thursday 2nd June – 24th September
Location: The Spa Theatre, Scarborough
After a record-breaking summer season last year, Tony Peers Productions returns to Scarborough’s grand Victorian theatre to present a journey through The West End, Broadway and Hollywood.
Expect a sensational cast including stunning vocalists, dazzling costumes and sparkling sets all with a dusting of Hollywood glitz.
4. West Yorkshire brass concert
Date: Sunday 18th September
Location: Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Bridlington
Enjoy an afternoon with West Yorkshire brass as they play a wide range of musical genres. Genres range from classical pianists, traditional vocals, Rat Pack, Indie, full size bands and many more in between.
5. First World War exhibition
Date: Friday 1st July – Sunday 8th January
Location: Leeds City Museum
Leeds City Museum’s group of young curators, the Preservative Party, pay a special tribute to those affected by the First World War with a unique exhibition exploring the specific impact on Yorkshire.
