£12.8m first-time-buyer residential development underway

CONSTRUCTION has started work on a £12.8m housing development in Wakefield, where it will be delivering 100 homes.

Housebuilder Keepmoat has launched the three-year scheme, the Kingswood development, this week.

Kingswood will feature a collection of two, three and four bedroom properties aimed at the first time buyer market.

The development is down the road from The Realm, another development by Keepmoat in Fitzwilliam.

Ian Hoad, regional director for Keepmoat, said: “Community engagement proved crucial to the success and popularity of The Realm at Fitzwilliam, and we are confident that by listening and tailoring a development to the specific needs of Wakefield residents, Kingswood can enjoy similar successes.

“Keepmoat is proving itself as a developer of choice in the Wakefield area due to high quality, affordable properties that are built with the needs of the respective community firmly in mind.

“We hope that Kingswood will provide Wakefield with another bright, friendly and thriving community; while supporting local trade and talent.”
