1. £24m construction firm goes into administration

Major losses were incurred on two contracts leading to administrators being appointed in November.

6. Accountancy firm makes city centre move

Grant Thornton agreed to become the anchor tenant at the former National Union of Mineworkers building in Sheffield, which has been vacant for 25 years.

7. £38m stadium development faces delays

Development plans for the Headingley Carnegie Stadium were delayed, leading the Yorkshire County Cricket Club to warn that the Leeds venue could lose international cricket for years

8. Ultimatum over £44m stadium plans

The City of York Council faced an ultimatum following the report published on the York Community Stadium.

9. Accountants move 300 staff to Central Square

RSM announced it is moving into Central Square, bringing its 300 Leeds staff into one location. The firm will make the move in 2017, becoming neighbours of anchor tenants PwC.

10. £175m mixed-use scheme launched

Plans were submitted for a £175m mixed-use scheme in Sheffield. The West Bar Square development will create 5,000 jobs and up to 1.4m sq ft of space for development.
