CPS lands £1.2m Chinese steel contract

CLYDE Process Solutions, the pneumatic conveying and air filtration systems provider, has won a £1.2m contract from a large Chinese steel company.

The Doncaster-based group’s subsidiary CPS Asia designed and installed the injection system on one of the largest blast furnaces in the world for the customer last year.

CPS Asia will provide the company with a coal injection system to be included in the rebuild of one of its blast furnaces.

Chief executive Alex Stewart said: “We are delighted that CPS Asia is continuing to demonstrate its ability to win significant orders, and in particular repeat orders from existing customers, by meeting their needs and providing innovative solutions.

“We are focused on strengthening our order book and pleased to announce this order, which was secured at healthy levels of contribution and is in line with management expectations.”
