Williamsons appoints new conveyancing head

HULL-BASED solicitors Williamsons has appointed an existing partner to head its residential conveyancing department.
Jane Longhorn joined the firm as a trainee after leaving College of Law, York and became a partner in the firm in 2005.
She has gained significant experience in the residential conveyancing field and has played a large part in the firm’s preparation for the introduction of Home Information Packs (HIPs).
She has taken over from Williamsons’ longest serving partner, Brian Coombes, who has taken up a consultancy role before he retires fully in three years time.
Bill Waddington, head of the firm’s Defence Advocacy Department, said the team had grown thanks to Mr Coombes’ hard work.
