In Brief: Riverford franchises up for sale; Yorkshire Mafia Conference website launched; and more

FOUR franchises in the Yorkshire Riverford organic food delivery network are up for sale.
Riverford on Home Farm has increased its deliveries by 40% over the last year to become the nation’s fastest growing vegbox scheme.
Prospective franchisees can choose between one of four territories – Doncaster, Rotherham, Scarborough and Hull.
All the organic produce is grown and supplied by Riverford on Home Farm, based at Newby Wiske in Northallerton.
Riverford also packs the vegboxes and provides marketing support.
Mark Smith, general manager of Riverford on Home Farm, said: “This is a great opportunity for ambitious, friendly people to join an ethical company and build their own business.
“Ideally the franchisees will live in, or locally to, their delivery area and have a lot of energy and drive. Above all, we’re looking for people who will really look after their customers and have the determination to keep our delivery numbers rising.”
