Swedish tycoon targets another Yorkshire group

SWEDISH investor Peter Gyllenhammar has added a stake in another Yorkshire quoted group to his portfolio of holdings.
The secretive tycoon now holds a 3.3% stake in Leeds-based 600 Group after acquiring 1.9m shares in the UK’s largest toolmaker.
Mr Gyllenhammar holds a 27% stake in Wakefield-based industrial products company Chapelthorpe.
He is a non-executive director and major shareholder in textile business Leeds Group which last year acquired a 28.8% stake in Scottish cashmere business Dawson International.
The Swedish corporate financier has a reputation for building stakes in under-valued Yorkshire quoted companies and in the past has also had holdings in Yorkshire Group and Jarvis Porter.
