BES Consulting to invest £600,000 in new technology
HUDDERSFIELD-based property compliance specialist BES Consulting is to invest £600,000 in state-of-the-art technology.
The investment comes just days after the company appointed its first chief technical officer and will see BES Consulting upgrade its internal systems and web-based solutions that help clients manage their statutory property compliance.
Steve Daniels, BES’s sales and marketing director said: “Managing property compliance is complex, time-consuming and requires the storage of considerable paperwork.
“Each property across a portfolio needs to be surveyed regularly to ensure its continued compliance in each area governed by legislation. Remedial actions need to be managed and paperwork needs to be readily available.”
Mr Daniels said meeting compliance requirements was a “considerable” challenge and that just one key date or action missed could result in tough penalties.
Last year BES Consulting announced a £1m investment in building the largest field-based team of surveyors qualified to help commercial property managers reduce their energy costs and receive Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
EPCs became a legal requirement for all commercial buildings let or sold from October and BES Consulting is creating at least 30 new jobs to help meet soaring demand, which has recently included deals with Marston’s and Punch Taverns.
