Beautiful win for ATP

ATP Advertising & Marketing has been appointed to handle the marketing of sk:n – the UK’s leading provider of skin treatments with more than 30 clinics nationwide.

The account is worth £2.5m to the Leeds-based agency, which will be responsible for the design and production of all the marketing materials.

ATP has also been tasked with buying the media and creating a new television commercial, which successfully aired recently.

The deal follows the appointment of ATP chairman Andrew Thirkill as marketing consultant for sk:n, which saw him oversee reorganisation of the firm’s marketing department in early 2008.

Speaking about the win Andrew Thirkill said: “There is no getting away from the fact that the credit crunch is having a major impact on the high street.

“It is essential therefore that retailers work smarter to ensure they continue to attract and retain customers.”

He added: “sk:n certainly meets that criterion and we are delighted to be working closely with them to help develop and grow sales despite the current economic climate.”

Mr Thirkill said that a number of changes has already successfully been implemented, which had resulted in a positive effect on sales growth.

Robin Jones, the marketing director at sk:n, said: “ATP offers a first class service to sk:n, with demonstrable understanding of the market and our specific client needs. I see ATP as very much part of my own team.”

The latest account win marks an impressive few months for the agency having recently been appointed to the £8m Ultralase account.
