Appointments: LCF expands team; Double appointment at Harvard; and more

WEST Yorkshire law firm Last Cawthra Feather has announced further expansion with five new additions to its team.

Hannah Bright joins the firm as an assistant solicitor with the employment law team.

Ms Bright, who joins from national employment law firm Thompsons has considerable experience in complex contractual issues and human rights having worked on projects across the UK, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

LCF has appointed Louise Hall as business development executive in the sales team with specific responsibility for the promotion of the firm’s commoditised services to local and regional businesses.

Tom Edwards and Claire Ryan join as trainee solicitors.

Mr Edwards, a graduate of both the University of Sheffield and York College of Law, is currently working with the corporate team.

Ms Ryan, a graduate of both BBP Law School in Leeds and the University of Sheffield is currently training and working with the litigation team.

The fourth appointment, Sophie Clague, will provide assistance across LCF’s four offices.

HARVARD, a specialist in the LED and wireless street lighting industry, has expanded its sales and marketing team.

Barry Bennett joins as sales manager for the North of England and Scotland and Richard Adelsberg joins as marketing executive.

Mr Bennett brings with him a wealth of knowledge and has over 32 years experience in the street lighting industry, including a role as director at Steanne Solutions and 27 years at Cheshire Council as a street lighting engineer.

He will be based at Harvard’s Leeds office but will spend a large amount of time travelling throughout the North of England and Scotland to meet customers.

Richard Adelsberg joins the team following two years at Blue Chip Marketing in Manchester where he managed accounts including The Co-operative Food and O2.

Andrew JacksonHULL-based law firm Andrew Jackson has welcomed solicitor Hannah Rafton to its shipping and transport department.

Ms Rafton joined Andrew Jackson in 2008 as a trainee solicitor.

During that time she gained experience in all aspects of maritime law including working with the firm’s sea fisheries and marine environment law unit.

In her new role Ms Rafton will deal with a broad range of shipping and transport-related matters with a particular focus on assisting the work of the sea fisheries team.

Andrew Oliver, a shipping and transport partner at Andrew Jackson, said: “I am delighted that Hannah has joined our team on a permanent basis, which will help us to meet the increased demand for our services.

“Despite the economic situation we have seen an increase in the volume of work in the department, particularly in relation to work arising out of the Marine and Coastal Access Act as well as general environmental and fisheries work.”
