CPS notches up another £1m contract win

IT’S a new month and a new contract for Doncaster-based Clyde Process Solutions as it adds yet another £1m contract to its recent string of wins.
The firm’s operating subsidiary MAC Equipment will provice a US-based leading engineering, construction and maintenance services provider with two pneumatic conveying systems.
They will be used as part of a emissions reducing project being run at a US-based chemical manufacturer.
CPS said that the the engineering firm selected MAC due to its proven expertise in handling an abrasive material like activated carbon.
As part of the order, MAC will also incorporate spheri valves on pneumatic
conveying systems.
Spheri valves are a core technology of CPS’s other operating subsidiary, Clyde Materials Handling Ltd and will provide a consistent flow of activated carbon from the production process to finished product distribution.
Alex Stewart, chief executive of CPS, said: “We are pleased to have secured this contract at healthy levels of contribution, which is in line with management expectations.
“In recent weeks we have uncovered many opportunities for our technologies which are focused on reducing energy and the environmental impact of production processes.”
He added: “This contract is being underpinned by these drivers and strengthens our
position as a leading provider of energy efficient pneumatic conveying
solutions for our key customer markets.”
Already this year CPS, which specialises in material handling solutions for process industries, has won a £9.3m order and two further £1m orders for overseas clients.
One of those was won by recently formed South African subsidiary Clyde Materials Handling Africa.
