Latest legal appointments: Partnership strengthened at Addleshaw Goddard, Double appointment at Williamsons and more

THE Leeds office of law firm Addleshaw Goddard, has promoted two staff to its partnership.

James Reynolds and Emma Whiting take up their role as partner on the 1st May of this year.

Mr Reynolds trained and qualified with the firm, and is a construction and engineering specialist.

Ms Whiting specialises in discrimination law and employment-related litigation and trained and qualified with the firms employment department in 2001.

The firms managing partner, Mark Jones said: “I believe passionately in our firm being a place where talented people can flourish and our business congratulates each individual on their promotion to the partnership.’

HULL-based firm, Williamsons Solicitors has two new additions to its clinical negligence team.

Solicitor Nick Gray, who joins the firm from Irwin Mitchell, and trainee solicitor Natalie Simkin who has been with the firm since 2006, have joined the department headed by Tim Slow.

Mr Slow welcomed the appointments of Mr Gray and Ms Simkin.

LEEDS & Bradford-based law firm, Gordons, has appointed a solicitor to its business recovery and restructuring department.

Claire Evans will work alongside head of insolvency, Wayne Parker in her new role.

Ms Evans has more than 12 years insolvency experience, joining the firm from the insolvency team at Walker Morris.

Mr Parker said: “Claire has an excellent reputation as a restructuring lawyer and having her help to drive our new practice is a great asset for Gordons”.
