N+1 Brewin completes Singer merger

N+1 Brewin, the corporate advisory and stockbroking operation with an office in Leeds, has completed its merger with Singer Capital Markets.

The merged group will trade as N+1 Singer and has a balance sheet of £16m.

The move is seen as a strategic geographic fit as Singer has a London presence while N+1 Brewin has five offices across the UK.

The combined operation will have 110 staff and offer corporate advisory, corporate broking, equity research, equity sales, sales trading and market making.

N+1’s Leeds office is headed by Richard Lindley. N+1 Brewin began trading in February following the completion of the acquisition of the stockbroking arm by N+1 and its management team from Brewin Dolphin Holdings.

Tim Cockcroft, the chief executive of N+1 Singer, said: “The businesses are highly complementary; there is a strong fit between the teams in both sectors and profile.

“The combination of research and sales will provide high quality product and distribution, enhancing our offer to both our corporate and institutional clients.”
