Marketing chief ‘chargers’ into new EV business with ambitious growth plans

Outsmart Agency owner Andy Taylor has started a new business, Voltco, with approved electrician Chris Hawkins to attack the EV Charger installation market.
Launched in April, Voltco.uk are EV charger experts for commercial and domestic installations.
Andy Taylor, Director of Voltco said “Sometimes opportunities in a certain sector present themselves that are too big to ignore. The rapid growth in EV vehicles combined with the government support to improve both public and domestic charging infrastructure meant we saw huge potential to enter a growing marketplace as well as playing our part in helping create a greener more sustainable future.”
Voltco has ambitious growth plans to increase its installation network to at least 5 fitting teams in their first year, with the aim of nationalising its network by 2026.
Taylor continued “Many businesses are just starting out on their journey to install EV chargers in the workplace, but there are so many things a business needs to consider beyond just how many chargers they will need in their car park, such as can they charge employees for using them, the health and safety policies around using a charger on the premises and does a business need to provide an EV charger at home for those with company vehicles – and we are helping businesses answer all of these questions.”
Chris Hawkins is an approved electrician with 16 years of experience and said “We are really excited by the potential of Voltco with the combination of my industry knowledge and Andy’s marketing and business background puts us in a great position to offer something different in what is a really exciting sector.”
Voltco are a government OZEV-approved installer and NAPIT-approved electricians that offer installs throughout Yorkshire.
