Nottingham leisure venue back on the market for £1.25m

Lakeside sold after two years of being closed

A former wedding venue, restaurant and leisure destination in Nottingham which has undergone an extensive refurbishment is back on the market.

Last December, a group of East Midlands entrepreneurs, led by hospitality and leisure consultant David Waycot, bought the Lakeside and said the wanted to create a five star luxury venue on the site to be open in the spring.

Now, the venue, a former Victorian Pumping Station, is on the market for £1.25m.

Gavin Webb, senior business agent at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, said: “Lakeside is a landmark building in Nottingham, which enjoyed a strong local reputation until it closed in late 2017. The site previously had planning permission for the development of a separate 29 bedroom hotel elsewhere on the grounds and represents an excellent opportunity for the right buyer.”
