Online grocery service expands East Midlands presence with new distribution hub

Modern Milkman, an online grocery service, has expanded its operations in the East Midlands by establishing a new storage and distribution hub.

The company has leased Unit A at Charnwood Business Park in Loughborough, which was facilitated by Thomas Szymkiw, head of agency at NG Chartered Surveyors, acting on behalf of a private landlord.

Founded in 2018, Modern Milkman delivers milk and soft drinks in reusable glass bottles, along with eggs, baked goods, and more, facilitating connections between thousands of households and local farmers and suppliers in their community.

In March, the company extended its reach by expanding into the US through an acquisition.

Szymkiw said: “Modern Milkman is a refreshingly modern company offering a traditional service – and we wish them well as they expand their business in the East Midlands. Our landlord client has an excellent tenant in a company that is really going places. This is a win-win for everyone involved.”
