Land deal paves way for residential development

A land deal brokered by land experts Mather Jamie between Cameron Homes and Richborough Estates will see a development of up to 47 new homes built on the northern edge of Brailsford in Derbyshire.

Acorn Meadows, a selection of two, three and four-bedroom properties available through Cameron Homes, is set to transform the former farmland on Luke Lane over the next 18 months.

Planning approval for development to the site was granted by Derbyshire Dales District Council in 2017.

The first homes at the site, where construction has already begun, are expected to be available to buy this spring, with work to continue into next year.

Cameron Homes is also building homes at developments in nearby Aston-on-Trent, Hulland Ward and Repton.

Gary Kirk, associate director of Mather Jamie, said: “We worked on behalf of the Landowners in conjunction with Land Promoters Richborough Estates to conduct a competitive tender process in order to achieve best value for the site, and subsequently agreed a deal with established housebuilders Cameron Homes, who have decades of experience in bringing new homes to desirable locations around the Midlands.”
