Housebuilder to push into East Midlands market

CALA Homes has appointed Nottingham-based James Turner as its area land director in a move to expand its presence in the East Midlands.

Turner comes to CALA with a wealth of experience, with nearly 20 years in the industry, and was most recently head of land at Avant Homes.

He will spearhead CALA’s drive to acquire more sites in what it is calling “aspirational locations” across the East Midlands with a focus on the M1 corridor between Milton Keynes and Nottinghamshire.

Turner said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining CALA at a time when the Midlands region is looking for considerable growth in a patch I know so well. CALA has an enviable reputation for the quality of its properties and its sensitive approach to development. Our focus will be on sites in premium locations with strong commuter links and access to good local schools and facilities.”
