ANS links up with Metronet

MANCHESTER’S ANS Group has struck a deal with broadband supplier Metronet to help roll out its new cloud service.

The new deal will see Metronet (UK), also based in the city, providing the connectivity for ANS’ “National Cloud” cloud hosting service.

Paul Sweeney, managing director of National Cloud and ANS Group, said: “We spoke to IT directors across the UK and found that, while the vast majority planned to move their data to the cloud within three years, 46% were concerned about downtime during the transfer and 54% were worried about having a secure connection to their data.

“Metronet (UK) is a leading provider of secure, fast connections. By partnering with them we can respond to IT directors’ fears – offering an integrated, fast and secure cloud solution.”
