Building Briefs: EIC, Real Estate Investors, Willmott Dixon

WEST Midlands building services provider EIC has added a third centre to its operations in the South West – two years ahead of the original planned opening date.

The company, whose headquarters are in Alcester near Redditch, has taken on a new 1,700 sq ft office in Exeter to sit alongside its existing bases in Plymouth and Redruth, in Cornwall.

The launch brings EIC’s national network of regional offices to 13 and this is the third new opening during 2010. It will initially employ nine staff, boosting the South West payroll up to 55.

The Exeter office, at Matford Business Park, will provide mechanical, electrical, building fabric and facilities management services for customers across the two southern counties.

South West regional director Damian Salmon said the opportunities available in the region had seen the firm accelerate its plans to open the Exeter office, bringing the launch forward by more than two years.

He said: “As Devon’s county town and key business centre, having a presence in Exeter was a logical move for us and was planned originally for 2012.

“We are in the fortunate position of continuing to build up our client base and attract new employees, giving us the impetuous to accelerate our plans.”
