Carillion secures £90m defence contract
Construction and support services group, Carillion has been awarded a £90m contract by the UK Defence Infrastructure Organisation to design and build a communications centre in Cyprus.
The single-story building will extend to approximately 10,000 sqm, with temperature and humidity controlled environments.
Wolverhampton-based Carillion will begin construction next month and be completed by the end of January 2019.
Richard Howson, Carillion chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to design and build this project and we look forward to building on the strong relationship we have with the DIO as we work closely together to deliver this important new facility.”
