UK’s largest affordable housing provider gets green light in Digbeth

Despite several setbacks, Birmingham’s planning committee has given the green light to the Clyde Street development in Digbeth, which will feature 481 apartments.
481 apartments will be built across two interlinked buildings of 10 and 38 storeys, on the former Safestore industrial land.
Spearheaded by Latimer, a subsidiary of Clarion Housing Group, the plans allocate 55% of the residences as affordable housing.
Through funding from Homes England, Latimer has committed to providing 141 apartments for social rent and 127 for shared ownership.
