Celebrity chef’s restaurant to become neighbour to The Ivy

63 Temple Row, which will become home to Gino D'Acampo's My Restaurant

Gino D’Acampo’s My Restaurant will open in Birmingham city centre later this year, becoming the latest restaurant to move into the Colmore Row business district.

It will be Temple Row neighbours with The Ivy, which is launching this month, and adds to an increasingly vibrant dining scene around St Philip’s Cathedral.

My Restaurant has secured licensing approval and work will begin this summer on transforming the building which is currently occupied by Allied Irish Bank.

Jeremy Collins, from leisure property agent Jenics), said: “It was an off-market deal that has taken 12 months to bring together but patience pays off. Temple Row is a fabulous location and No. 63 is an elegant building which completely fits the Gino brand.”

The brand is operated by Individual Restaurants, which also has Piccolino, Bank, and Restaurant Bar and Grill in its portfolio.

The 8,000 sq ft, 200-seater restaurant will be over two floors and include a private bar, private dining, games room and posh bowling.

The Birmingham opening will be followed by a new central London restaurant and a minimum of three further openings this year.
