Shopping park adds to food offer with KFC deal

Developer and regeneration specialist St. Modwen has further expanded the food offering at Longbridge Shopping Park by welcoming fast food restaurant KFC to the site.

The American restaurant chain has taken an 10-year lease on a 1,127 sq ft unit at the shopping park and will open its 18-seater restaurant in December.

The addition to the site is expected to create 30 jobs in the area.

This new KFC is part of the chain’s roll out of smaller restaurants.

Longbridge Shopping Park, developed by St. Modwen, was sold in May.

St. Modwen owns and continues to maintain the Park Point development on the site, which is part of the developer’s headquarters and sits above Costa Coffee and the incoming KFC restaurant.

Gemma Butler, asset manager at St. Modwen, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming KFC to Longbridge, as it brings another dining option to those who live, shop, work or study in the area. The small unit lends itself perfectly to KFC’s new kiosk format and we hope it will be well received by Longbridge residents and visitors alike.”
