More jobs to go at automotive manufacturer

Coventry-based taxi manufacturer London Electric Vehicle Company, which builds the famous black cabs, has announced that 40 jobs are to go in its latest round of cuts. Owned by Chinese automotive company Geely, the company, which opened a £300m factory at Ansty Park in 2017, said that ‘less than’ 20 full-time staff will lose their jobs, along with a similar number of contractors.
