Property People: Harris Lamb boosts environmental team; Avison Young adds 24 principals to Midlands office

Property consultancy Harris Lamb has developed its growing environmental team with the appointment of an assistant ecologist.

The department, which was formed just 12 months ago, has welcomed Josh Randhawa to its ranks.

Since graduating from Birmingham University in 2013, Randhawa has worked for a number of organisations including the city council and Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park, and will support the team in working across the business’ client portfolio to advise on ecological issues, conduct surveys to ensure developments are compliant.

Dr Holly Smith, director of environment, said: “I am delighted with the way that this team has flourished since we launched the service last February. The demand for advice and support from clients has been overwhelming, and we’re becoming a very strong, busy team.

“Josh is a welcome addition to our team – he brings with him valuable experience across a wide range of environmental skills, including surveying protected species including bats, newts and reptiles. A good bat ecologist is extremely difficult to find, and we’re confident his knowledge will be of great benefit to our offering.”
