Tax consultancy takes first floor of flagship office building

International tax consultants Clay Knox has signed a lease on the entire first floor of one of Bromsgrove’s flagship office buildings.

The firm has moved from its former offices in Ipsley Court, Redditch, into 5,925 sq ft at St John’s House in Bromsgrove town centre.

The letting, on behalf of Quartz Investments, comes after a major refurbishment of the property.

Ian Parker, joint managing director of John Truslove, said: “This is a significant letting for Bromsgrove and the West Midland and proves once again the value of investing in targeted and focused refurbishment, sensitive to the ever-changing demands of the market.”

The move comes as Clay Knox continues to expand. Launched in 2008, this is the third move Clay Knox has made, driven by growth.

From offices in Studley with 14 employees, the business moved into Ipsley Court in Redditch in 2010, growing to 28 employees.

The latest move was driven by further growth as the firm now numbers 40 staff and needed more space.

Clay Knox provides accountancy and advisory services to the film, music and sport industries. With its head office now in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, and offices in Pinewood Studios and Mayfair in London, Clay Knox advises high profile individuals and businesses, both in the UK and globally.

In 2016, Clay & Associates, as it was originally known, became part of the Knox Group of companies and rebranded in 2017 to Clay Knox.

The owner of the property, Quartz Investments, is based in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Tim Haslam of Quartz Investments said: “With the arrival of Clay Knox, St John’s House is now fully let. The original accommodation was very dated and our investment in refurbishment has clearly paid off.”
