Colliers takes additional space at Brindleyplace

REAL estate consultant Colliers CRE has exercised its first option for additional space in Brindleyplace, within months of moving to its new premises in Birmingham.

Continued expansion of its corporate recovery, valuation and rating teams has necessitated taking a further 1,100 sq ft on the 12th floor at Eleven Brindleyplace.

The move involved staff from the office putting their creative skills to the test before knocking the dividing wall down.

David Smeeton, Colliers CRE head in Birmingham said the firm needed to create the new space if it was to sustain the huge stride forward it had made during the beginning of 2010.

“This takes our enlarged new floor area to 6,700 sq ft with the option to take the rest of the top floor later in the year,” he said.

“Our new way of working in a superb modern open plan environment with fantastic onsite facilities has greatly improved communication links and helped us to generate additional business opportunities.

“Since moving into Brindleyplace last August, we have increased our headcount significantly and raised our profile in a number of key areas.”

He said the new area accommodated up to 18 additional workstations, and would position Colliers CRE as one of the top real estate consultancies in the Midlands, with around 80 staff.
