Coup for CBRE as Ed Gamble joins from JLL

ED Gamble, one of Birmingham’s best-known investment agents and the man who sold One Snowhill and bought The Mailbox on behalf of clients, has left Jones Lang LaSalle to join rival property consultancy CBRE.

He will head up the CBRE investment team and effectively replaces Justin Marshall, a senior director at the firm who has decided to leave to set up his own consultancy.

Gamble’s title will be senior director, capital markets at CBRE and he will start his new role early this year. He headed Jones Lang LaSalle’s three-man investment team in Birmingham having joined the firm in 2004 from CBRE. In his new role at CBRE he will work alongside Andrew Meikle and Nick Woodward.

Gamble has more than 12 years’ experience advising on some of Birmingham’s most prestigious transactions and has acted for clients with interests in industrial, office and retail property. Recent notable deals include the purchase of Mailbox for Brockton Capital Ltd and the sale of One Snowhill on behalf of Ballymore.

Martin Guest, managing Director of CBRE in Birmingham, said: “Ed has been instrumental in the success of a wide range of investment deals and his expertise across a range of asset types makes him a good fit for CBRE and will further strengthen CBRE’s investment team in the UK regions. He will be a great addition to our Birmingham business.”
