Youngman quits Lloyds for new KPMG directorship

A WELL-KNOWN banker in Birmingham has left his post after more than 35 years to take up a new position with KPMG.

Andy Youngman spent a long career with Lloyds Bank, where most recently he was Area Director in Birmingham for the bank’s Commercial Banking arm.

He is also a director at Birmingham Science Park, Aston, while in 2009, he participated in the first sitting of the House of Commons’ West Midlands Regional Select Committee.

His move to KPMG sees him take up the position of Director, Sales & Marketing. The move is in keeping with the advisor’s aim to strengthen its dedicated team of client relationship specialists operating throughout the Midlands.

Based in KPMG’s Birmingham office, he will strive to maintain KPMG’s record for winning new business and identifying key opportunities for growth.

He said: “Throughout my career, I’ve been a passionate advocate of working together with colleagues to achieve goals, and it’s this shared philosophy which has attracted me to KPMG.

“I‘ve joined a team that is known throughout the industry for the quality of its service, and I’m confident that my experience within the sector will complement the existing team, enabling us to achieve many more successes in the months and years to come.”

Mike Steventon, Midlands Regional Chairman at KPMG, said: “Andy joins us to lead our Sales team here in the Midlands and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. His proven track record in identifying, securing and retaining clients here in the Midlands will support our ongoing growth as we help our clients navigate through a range of key business challenges.”
