JLL reports record third quarter

PROPERTY consultancy JLL – which has a large Birmingham operation – has reported third quarter fee revenue of $1.2bn (£743m), an increase of 19% on the same period last year.

The Chicago-headquartered firm said it has seen fee revenue growth across all service lines and geographic segments and described LaSalle Investment Management’s contribution as “outstanding”.

Colin Dyer, president and CEO of JLL, said: “We completed a record third quarter with broad-based growth in all service lines and superior results from LaSalle Investment Management.

“Market conditions and sentiment remain strong in real estate markets around the world, and the healthy pipelines across our business signal continued growth into 2015.”

Ian Cornock, lead director for the Birmingham office of JLL, said: “The third quarter results and reported earnings, up 55% on the same period last year, clearly demonstrates continued growing confidence in the global property markets which is also reflected at a regional level.

“As the Midlands’ region goes into the fourth quarter we believe we are heading towards a record year for revenue.

“2015 also looks to set new highs as major infrastructure projects reach completion, focusing attention on the city and if the ‘Greater Birmingham’ debate reaches a positive conclusion, we will probably be in one of the best positions in the city’s history to secure sustainable future growth for the region’s economy and be seen as a serious contender for greater foreign direct investment.”
