Worcestershire accountants join forces

HAINES Watts Worcester is set to merge with Evesham-based Focus Accountancy.

Focus Accountancy owner Tim Pearce will join forces with John Elliott and Trish Sayer of Haines Watts Worcester in a new business venture for both companies.

Haines Watts is a national brand specialising, like Focus Accountancy, in working with owner managed businesses.

In a carefully constructed move, Pearce will become co-owner of Haines Watts Worcester alongside the two current partners of the Worcester office – Sayer and Elliott – and together they will operate both the Evesham and Worcester offices of Haines Watts.

Pearce said: “I am really excited about the merger and can only see positives for our clients, prospective clients and our team. The merger will allow me to concentrate on what is important – working with our clients.

“Joining Haines Watts will allow us to offer a wider range of services, specifically aimed at business owners and owner managed businesses, giving clients access to a range of new skilled specialists that will strengthen our current team.”

Pearce will take the lead in the combined firm and will continue to offer business support and advice to growing family-owned businesses. Elliott, a seasoned tax advisor, will head up the firm’s tax offering whilst Sayer will continue to develop the firm’s audit and compliance services.

Elliott said: “we are extremely pleased that Tim and his Focus clients will be merging with us at Haines Watts as together we will provide an excellent service to businesses in Worcestershire.”
