Grade A office development completed as part of £6m programme

A 25,000 sq ft Grade A office building has been completed as Birmingham Business Park’s owners respond to the lowest vacancy rates on the site in a decade.
The building is part of a £6m refurbishment programme by BlackRock at the park, which is home to companies employing more than 7,000 people.
BlackRock purchased a substantial holding in 2015, with Canmoor retained as an asset management partner.
Rolls-Royce has completed a 300,000 sq ft research and development facility for its Controls and Data Services on the site, joining other occupiers including EE, Fujitsu, IMI and Severn Trent on the park, which is near junction 6 of the M42 motorway.
Adrian Griffith, from joint letting agents Bilfinger GVA, said: “BlackRock and Canmoor have focused on supporting and nurturing occupiers, introducing initiatives aimed at both employers and employees to increase interaction and engagement.”
