New location for serviced office operator

PROSPECT Business Centres, one of Yorkshire’s longest established serviced office providers, has expanded its operation following a £2m investment.

The firm, which is part of property group Monument Investments and has two complexes in Leeds, is launching its third location – Appollo House in York.

The 15,000 sq ft premises boasts high quality serviced office units ranging from two to 70 desks.

As well as housing around 20 businesses Apollo House will also offer meeting rooms, virtual offices and hot-desking facilities for non-tenants.

A total of six jobs will be created once the centre is fully up and running.

Its completion will take Prospect’s total portfolio of serviced office space to more than 50,000 sq ft.

Andrew Walls, finance director of Monument said: “This is a significant investment for the group and brings the Prospect Business Centres name to York, a city we see as a key market currently lacking sufficient flexible office space.

“At Apollo House we will be providing clients with high quality fully furnished accommodation backed up by the latest IT and telecoms systems and other services, which will be in line with the facilities already available at our two Leeds locations.”

According to Prospect Business Centres’ managing director Charlie Cudworth a number of firms have already signed up as tenants with enquiries coming from a wide range of sectors.

“Some business need flexible space to accommodate growth in addition to those who regard the services office option as a loong-term facility and we are already seeing very healthy demand in York for our offering of versatile office accommodation.”

Completed in 2008 Apollo House is situated next to the Monkgate Roundabout at Heworth Green in York.

Despite being a new build is has undergone a substantial refit as part of Prospect Business Centres’ investment.
