Citu launches Greenhouse Apart-Hotel

AN ALTERNATIVE for business accommodation in Yorkshire has been launched by developers Citu, the team behind the mixed-use development Greenhouse.

Citu is opening its doors to a wider corporate market with the UK’s most sustainable Apart-Hotel.

Complementing the recently opened 2500 sq ft conference suite Greenspace in Leeds, the Citu team has now developed a series of sustainable apartments that can be rented for one night or up to a month for business travel.

The Apart-hotel is run by husband-and wife-team and Greenhouse residents Tom and Kati Lancaster.

Mr Lancaster said: “We’re really excited about this business opportunity.

“We are here to provide business visitors to Leeds, from the UK and abroad, with an alternative from large hotel chains, and look forward to sharing the Greenhouse ethos with a new audience.”

The Apart-Hotel accommodation offers all the sustainable qualities of the residential apartments such as the energy saving appliances and sustainable furnishings, and guests are also welcomed with a hamper filled with local and organic produce including fruit and vegetable from Greenhouse’s own allotments.

Internet Protocol TVs in each apartment allow guests to track their energy usage so they can see for themselves how they are contributing to a more sustainable way of living.

Citu director Fraser Stride said: “We’ve seen such a huge level of interest in Greenhouse from the businesses community across Leeds since we launched last year, but not everyone is looking to move offices. The new conference space and now the Apart-Hotel give people a chance to get involved and experience Greenhouse in a more flexible way.”
