Could your business be eligible for grant funding?

If you’re a business with the intent to grow, you could be eligible for one of the grants currently on offer to businesses in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding area. Below is an overview of some of the grant funded support programmes available to you.

Capital grants

Product and Process Innovation grants can cover up to 40% of the funding for equipment to enable business innovation up to a value of £20,000. You’ll be eligible if you’ve got less than 250 employees, a turnover of less than €50 million or balance sheet total of less than €43 million, and work in either: bioscience, digital and creative media, electronic-based, food and drink, health and social care, or manufacturing using biological and chemical materials.

If you can’t start an expansion project without external funding, a Let’s Grow grant could provide you with funded support to purchase new equipment, land or buildings to help you achieve complete the project. Typically, the grant will cover between 10-20% of the project’s capital costs, with values between £25,000 and £1million. You’ll be eligible if you’ll create new jobs and don’t work in the agriculture or fisheries sector.

Revenue grants

The Manufacturing Growth Programme grants enable you to offer consultancy support to facilitate your business growth. You can receive a 35% grant up to £1,400 for consultancy support covering a wide range of different business areas, from marketing to productivity, exporting and management. You’ll be eligible for the grant if you work in: fishery and aquaculture, primary production, processing and marketing of agricultural products, coal, steel and ship building, or synthetic fibers.

SparkFund offers match funded revenue grants to help you develop your products, processes or services. You can receive 50% of your project costs, up to £20,000 for innovation and £50,000 for research and development.
